Wabash National Q1 Results Top Estimates

(RTTNews) - Wabash National Corp. (WNC) reported net income for the first quarter of $10.5 million or $0.15 per share, compared to $7.3 million or $0.10 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the first quarter were $13.8 million or $0.19 per share, compared to $8.3 million or $0.12 per share in the prior year quarter.

Net sales for the first quarter rose 22% to $437.60 million from $358.12 million a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.16 per share on revenue of $419.89 million for the first quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said it is increasing its full-year shipment and adjusted earnings guidance to 62,000 to 66,000 trailers and $1.15 to $1.25 per share, respectively. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $1.13 per share for the full year 2015.
