Vivendi Q3 Profit Down - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - French media giant Vivendi SA (VIV.L, VIVEF.PK) Thursday said its third-quarter, earnings attributable to shareholders declined 23.7 percent to 376 million euros from last year's 493 million euros. Earnings per share were 0.28 euro compared to 0.38 euro last year.

On a continuing operations basis, earnings declined 32.1 percent to 233 million euros.

Adjusted earnings, which excluded certain items, decreased 14.8 percent to 403 million euros or 0.30 euros per share from 473 million euros or 0.36 euros per share last year.

Third-quarter revenues inched up 0.2 percent to 5.35 billion euros from 5.34 billion euros last year.

For the first nine months, net income attributable to the company dropped to 1.41 billion euros or 1.06 euro per share from 1.66 billion euros or 1.28 euro per share last year. Revenues inched down to 16.19 billion euros from 16.35 billion euros a year ago.

Looking forward, the company has confirmed its full year outlook for all the group's activities.
