ViaSat Q1 Loss Widens - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - ViaSat Inc (VSAT), a provider of satellite and other wireless networking systems, Tuesday reported first-quarter net loss attributable to the company of $5.9 million or $0.13 per share, wider than $1.8 million or $0.04 per share in the same period last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $2.4 million or $0.05 per share, compared with $4.9 million or $0.11 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were $319.47 million, down from $321.10 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.15 per share on revenues of $349.88 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
