Vascular Solutions Gets 510(k) Clearance For New Turnpike Catheters

(RTTNews) - Medical device company Vascular Solutions, Inc. (VASC) Monday said it received 510(k) marketing clearance from US Food and Drug Administration for its Turnpike catheters.

Turnpike catheters are surgical tubes designed for use in complex coronary and peripheral interventions. The new catheters have proprietary braid and dual-layer coil shaft to provide more flexibility and torque response. They are available in two versions- soft tip, and hard tip.

The turnpike catheters are scheduled to launch in January, following clinical evaluations in December, the company said.
