US Bancorp Reveals 4% Advance In Q3 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - US Bancorp (USB) reported earnings for its third quarter that gained ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $1.56 billion, or $0.88 per share. This was higher than $1.50 billion, or $0.84 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.88 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 4.1% to $5.61 billion. This was up from $5.39 billion last year.
