Universal Forest Products Q4 Earnings Rise

(RTTNews) - Universal Forest Products (UFPI) released a profit for its fourth quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $33.16 million, or $0.51 per share. This was up from $22.24 million, or $0.34 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.44 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 12.4% to $966.09 million. This was up from $859.58 million last year.
