Universal Forest Products Profit Advances 33% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Universal Forest Products (UFPI) revealed earnings for its third quarter that increased from last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $25.56 million, or $1.26 per share. This was up from $19.23 million, or $0.96 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.14 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 6.8% to $762.27 million. This was up from $713.49 million last year.
