United Natural Foods Q4 Profit Tops View; Issues FY14 Outlook - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) reported net income for the fourth quarter of $32.1 million, or $0.65 per share, compared to $25.1 million, or $0.51 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Net sales for the latest fourth quarter rose 22.2% to $1.64 billion from $1.34 billion a year ago.

On average, eleven analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.60 per share on revenue of $1.63 billion for the fourth quarter.

Looking forward, for fiscal 2014, the company estimates GAAP earnings in the range of approximately $2.40 to $2.50 per share and net sales in the range of about $6.65 to $6.78 billion. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $2.49 per share on revenue of $6.61 billion for the fiscal year 2014.
