Ukraine's Largest Mobile Operator - Kyivstar - Deploys Amdocs OSS to Enhance Customer Experience and Lower Costs
ST. LOUIS, Dec. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Amdocs , the leading provider of customer experience systems, today announced that Kyivstar, the largest mobile communications operator in the Ukraine with more than 23 million subscribers, has deployed Amdocs OSS (operations support systems) solutions. The Amdocs OSS solutions allow Kyivstar to utilize its network resources more efficiently and introduce new, innovative services faster. Amdocs worked in partnership with leading Ukrainian system integrator, S&T Soft-Tronik Ukraine, on the deployment.
Kyivstar has more than doubled in size since 2005. "Kyivstar needed a proven, modular OSS solution to unify our network inventory across our business-one that would not only allow us to support our growing subscriber base, but also enable us to manage services and network resources more effectively and roll out new services faster. Amdocs OSS solutions enable us to analyze the level of existing network usage to optimize network capacity," said Yogesh Malik, chief technology officer at Kyivstar. "Also, working with S&T Soft-Tronik Ukraine as the local partner to implement this challenging project, proved to be a solid choice to ensure a successful deployment. As a result of the implementation, we expect to lower capital and operational expenditures as we differentiate ourselves from the competition by introducing new services to market faster."
Kyivstar has deployed a number of products from Amdocs OSS suite to deliver a single, integrated service and resource management solution that provides visibility into its entire network. With this visibility across its network resources and assets, Kyivstar can quickly make informed decisions on how those resources should be allocated depending on network capacity, and ensure the most effective use of the network. Additionally, Kyivstar will benefit from a complete, accurate and consolidated inventory, support for automated network capacity planning, and faster network rollout and upgrade. As a result, Kyivstar can now rapidly fulfill services to meet customer demand, and ultimately improve its customer experience.
"The complexity associated with delivering new services is growing rapidly, as is Kyivstar's subscriber base. Yet in the face of increasing competition there is relentless pressure on Kyivstar to roll out compelling new services, and to do so faster," said Charles Born, vice president of corporate communications for Amdocs. "Only mature, integrated and well-proven inventory-centric solutions like Amdocs OSS can help meet this demand. Amdocs OSS solutions can lower the total cost of operations, which can have a substantial effect on the operator's overall profitability."
"Kyivstar is one of our most important customers in the Ukraine, and for many years we have worked closely with them to implement several, complex IT solutions. Amdocs OSS solutions stand out in the market and will enable us to continue our strong record with Kyivstar," said Christian Rosner, chief executive officer for S&T AG. "This deployment demonstrates the success of Amdocs and S&T Soft-Tronik Ukraine working together to bring further efficiency to Kyivstar's network management processes."
