U.S. Bank Sponsors the National Western Stock Show
U.S. Bank will sponsor several events at the 105th annual National Western Stock Show (NWSS) in January. U.S. Bank will be the presenting sponsor of the PRCA Team Roping, one of the top attractions of the rodeo. The bank will also sponsor International Livestock Congress, The Auction of Junior Livestock Champions and "Citizen of the West.” The NWSS takes place from January 8 through January 23, 2011 in Denver. U.S. Bank has supported the National Western Stock Show since 1995, and this is the fifth consecutive year as the presenting sponsor of the rodeo.
Hassan Salem, president of U.S. Bank in Colorado, welcomed the crowd to the Boots ‘N Business luncheon on Jan. 7. The event was sponsored by U.S. Bank and produced by the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. More than 900 people attended the luncheon.
U.S. Bank Food Industries is a major supporter of the event. Led by Elizabeth Hund, senior vice president and division head, the U.S. Bank Food Industries sponsors the International Livestock Congress, which is held in conjunction with the NWSS. Hund is also the ambassador of the NWSS International Agri-Business Center and is a committee member of the NWSS International Committee. The International Agri-Business Center hosts visitors from 35 countries, and encourages networking for overseas business around livestock by providing a social and educational environment for trade development.
"We’re thrilled to have U.S. Bank back at the National Western this year,” said Paul Andrews, president and chief executive officer of NWSS. "U.S. Bank in Colorado, through Hassan Salem, and Elizabeth Hund, are invaluable partners in the success of our event. Our long-standing partnership with U.S. Bank has been a great pillar of support for one of the largest events dedicated to providing college funds to rural areas. We have visitors from around the world, and we appreciate the bank’s sponsorship that gives back to the community, both locally and globally, by helping provide scholarships and opportunities for higher education.”
"NWSS is a marquee event of the food and ag industries, and are a critical part of the economy,” said Salem. "U.S. Bank is honored to be a sponsor.”
"As a national leader in food industries for more than 150 years, we are pleased to support this international livestock show and rodeo in Denver,” said Hund. "NWSS allows us to focus on charitable giving through education, as well as networking with partners who are looking for financial products for the production, processing and distribution of food and agriculture products.”
