TV Guide Announces Fifth Annual After Party Celebrating the 59th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards

Ian Birch, editor-in-chief, TV Guide magazine, and J. Scott Crystal, president, TV Guide magazine, announced today that TV Guide will host its fifth annual after-party celebrating the 59th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. This year’s event will take place at Hollywood hotspot Les Deux on September 16, 2007 and will celebrate the year’s Emmy winners and nominees. To accommodate the crowd, TV Guide will expand the existing interior and courtyard spaces at Les Deux by building a lavish 15,000 square foot tent in the adjacent parking lot. This additional space will mirror the rich French burlesque design elements of the venue itself, including a deep red, Gold and black color schematic and black crystal chandeliers. The inside of the tent will feature 12 bars, plush seating areas, and a 40 foot-wide stage where guests will enjoy exciting live musical performances. The tent will open onto a classic manicured French garden, replete with trimmed hedges, topiaries, and juniper trees, where "champagne girls” dressed in Marie Antoinette-era costumes will push carts of bubbly. Event producer Tony Schubert of Event Eleven, who was also the interior designer for the club, will ensure a seamless environment connecting the club to the tent with hedged arbor passageways lit by hanging chandeliers.
