Tribune Publishing Appoints New Publishers/CEOs For Its Media Groups

(RTTNews) - Tribune Publishing Company (TPUB) announced that it has appointed Nancy Meyer as Publisher/CEO of the Orlando Sentinel Media Group and Rick Daniels as Publisher/CEO of the Hartford Courant Media Group.

The company said Howard Greenberg, who has served as Publisher/CEO of the Sentinel Media Group and Sun-Sentinel Media Group for the last six-and-a-half years, will focus full-time on the Sun-Sentinel Media Group in South Florida. Greenberg will focus on continued growth at the property.

The appointments take effect in early November.

Commenting on Meyer's promotion to Publisher/CEO of Orlando Sentinel Media Group, Tribune said it follows a successful, eight-year run at the Hartford Courant Media Group, where she introduced a number of innovative print and digital experiences.

And, Daniels, who replaces Meyer at the Courant,is an industry veteran who has overseen many well-known media brands, including TheBoston Globe and GateHouse Media New England, as well as numerous digital start-ups and early stage ventures, the company stated.

Giving a brief note on Greenberg, the company said under her leadership, the Sun-Sentinel earned a Pulitzer Prize for public service, and both the Sun-Sentinel Media Group and Orlando SentinelMedia Group introduced numerous print, digital and advertising innovations.
