TIBCO Software Buys Jaspersoft For About $185 Mln

(RTTNews) - TIBCO Software Inc. (TIBX) said Monday that it has acquired privately held Jaspersoft Corp., a provider of embedded business intelligence and reporting software, for about $185 million.

Jaspersoft's commercial open source business model and embedded business intelligence suite allows application developers to embed highly interactive reports, dashboards and analytics into their applications. The tools give customers the ability to gain insight from multiple data sources and ultimately make better decisions.

The acquisition is expected to be neutral to TIBCO's adjusted earnings per share for its 2014 fiscal year.
