The Wendy's Company Reveals 38% Increase In Q2 Profit

(RTTNews) - The Wendy's Company (WEN) reported a profit for its second quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $37.15 million, or $0.15 per share. This was up from $26.95 million, or $0.10 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.13 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 16.3% to $320.34 million. This was down from $382.72 million last year.
