The Wendy's Company Reports 15% Rise In Q3 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - The Wendy's Company (WEN) reported earnings for its third quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $29.42 million, or $0.11 per share. This was higher than $25.64 million, or $0.09 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.10 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 21.7% to $364.01 million. This was down from $464.63 million last year.
