The Wendy's Company Announces 38% Decline In Q4 Profit

(RTTNews) - The Wendy's Company (WEN) reported a profit for fourth quarter that lost ground from last year.

The company said its earnings fell to $20.44 million, or $0.08 per share. This was lower than $33.11 million, or $0.12 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.09 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 33.3% to $309.90 million. This was down from $464.37 million last year.
