The Rosen Law Firm Announces Investigation of Miller Energy Resources, Inc.

The Rosen Law Firm, P.A. announces that it is investigating potential securities fraud claims against Miller Energy Resources, Inc. (NYSE: MILL) ("Miller” or the "Company”) resulting from allegations that the Company may have issued materially inaccurate financial statements to the investing public between March 22, 2010 and August 1, 2011.

On March 22, 2010, Miller issued a quarterly report on Form 10-Q listing $493,244,733 in assets, an increase of over $480,000,000 from its assets in the period ending April 30, 2009. The majority of the increase was attributed to an acquisition by Miller of certain Alaskan Oil and Gas assets, which Miller valued at about $479,000,000. Miller acquired these assets in a bankruptcy proceeding for approximately $4,470,000.

On July 28, 2011, analysts Melissa Davis and Janice Shell issued a report questioning the valuation. Citing a number of sources, including interviews with industry experts, Shell and Davis stated that Miller and its officers and directors had fraudulently overstated the value of the assets personally to profit from Miller's artificially elevated stock price.

On July 29, 2011, Miller filed its annual report on Form 10-K. On August 1, 2011, Miller stated that this document, filed just three days earlier, should no longer be relied upon.
