The Mercialys "G La Galerie" Brand Gets a Janus Award

Mercialys (Paris:MERY) has been awarded a Janus du commerce by the French Design Institute at a ceremony held at the Quai d'Orsay, chaired by Matthias Fekl, French Secretary of State for foreign trade and the promotion of tourism.

"G La Galerie" – France's first nationwide shopping center brand – was rolled out to all Mercialys shopping centers in 2015. This award recognizes the pioneering, customer-centric spirit of the "G La Galerie" concept, underpinned by today's consumer imperatives of accessibility, visibility, practicality and proximity.

The Janus awards jury was particularly impressed by:
- the simple and effective way in which the concept enhances both site and store visibility for consumers,
- the synergies unlocked between different sites, especially pooled marketing and communication initiatives,
- the focus on stores and store owners.

This award also recognizes the work of Agence Minale Design Strategy which helped Mercialys to come up with the concept and the brand.
