The Article 6 Marital Trust created under the Jerry Zucker Revocable Trust Purchases Shares of Canlan Ice Sports Corp.

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC, May 16, 2018 /CNW/ - The Article 6 Marital Trust created under the First Amended and Restated Jerry Zucker Revocable Trust dated 4-2-07 (the "Trust") announced today that it has purchased 2,000 common shares of Canlan Ice Sports Corp. ("Canlan Ice") (TSX: ICE) through the facilities of the Toronto Stock Exchange at a price of Cdn$4.20 per share, for total consideration of Cdn$8,400.  Anita G. Zucker is the trustee of the Trust.

The 2,000 common shares purchased by the Trust represent approximately 0.01% of the issued and outstanding common shares of Canlan Ice. 

Canlan Ice's head office is located at 6501 Sprott Street, Burnaby, British Columbia, V6B 3B8.

Prior to the transaction, the Trust owned 2,184,100 common shares representing approximately 16.38% of the issued and outstanding common shares of Canlan Ice.  As a result of the transaction, the Trust owns 2,186,100 common shares, or approximately 16.39% of the issued and outstanding common shares of Canlan Ice.

The common shares of Canlan Ice were acquired for investment purposes. The Trust will continue to review the performance of and prospects for this investment and investment alternatives. As part of the ongoing review of the investment in common shares in Canlan Ice, the Trust may explore from time to time a variety of alternatives, including the acquisition of additional securities of Canlan Ice or the disposition of securities of Canlan Ice in the open market or in privately negotiated transactions.
