Technical Safety BC releases 2018-2020 Business Plan
NEW WESTMINSTER, BC, Feb. 2, 2018 /CNW/ - Technical Safety BC has released its 2018-2020 Business Plan, outlining its goals for the next three years and defining how it will measure success. The theme "Advancing Technical Safety for All British Columbians" represents the organization's focus as it continues to deliver on its 10-Year Strategy.
"We believe it's entirely possible to have insight into all technical equipment across the province by 2020. Public safety is our mandate and this goal means continuously expanding and enhancing our approach, accountability and performance," says Catherine Roome, Technical Safety BC President & CEO. "To achieve this, we know that partnering with our clients, stakeholders and the public will be key."
Technical Safety BC's business plan describes how it will deliver on its strategy by growing participation and enabling accountability for technical safety.
"We are using a number of technological tools, including algorithms and machine learning, to help us identify risks. By improving how we collect, process and share safety data, we are able to work more efficiently and effectively, while bringing more participants into the safety system." says Roome. "We are also developing new products and services in response to industry needs."
The organization has outlined three strategic priorities:
Technical Safety BC issues its Business Plan each year in accordance with the Administrative Agreements between the organization and the Province of British Columbia, and as part of Technical Safety BC's commitment to maintain transparency.
