Taubman Announces First 22 Stores in Twelve Oaks Mall Expansion
BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich., April 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Taubman Centers, Inc. today announced 22 specialty retailers to open as part of the 97,000-square-foot expansion at Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi, Mich. on September 28, 2007.
The lineup, including fashion, footwear and family favorites, also features a 165,000-square-foot Nordstrom.
Martin + Osa, making its Michigan debut, is a new retail apparel brand offering high-quality, versatile styles for 25 to 35-year-olds to wear seven days of the week. Inspired by Martin and Osa Johnson, a married couple who spent their lives traveling and documenting remote places of the world in the 1920s and 1930s, Martin + Osa designs clothing to fit a busy, modern lifestyle. It is a division of American Eagle Outfitters.
Apparel and accessory additions include: Arden B and its hip, sophisticated women's wear fresh off the runway; Lucky Brand Jeans, authentic quality denim for men and women; Coldwater Creek, known for casual, comfortable women's apparel - from fashion basics to weekend and career wear; For Love 21, an accessories-only store from Forever 21, the retailer known for providing the most current styles at the greatest value; The Levi's(R) Store, provider of the original authentic jeans brand; and the Oakley O Store carries its trademark sunglasses, footwear, apparel, watches and accessories for both men and women.
Other just-announced tenants include: lucy, offering figure-flattering women's workout wear, footwear, accessories, watches and sunglasses; upbeat British brand LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics packs its bath and body products with high-quality, fresh, organic ingredients; Illuminations, showcasing premium candles and home decorating solutions; and Amy's Hallmark Gold Crown Store.
Also new to the lineup are three popular national footwear retailers: Florsheim, a trusted name in men's footwear; Michigan's only full-line Skechers, known for trend-right athletic and casual footwear for the entire family; and Wild Pair, showcasing fashion-forward shoes and accessories that appeal to hip young men and women.
Shops relocating to the new Nordstrom wing include women's swimwear hotspot Everything But Water; J.B. Robinson Jewelers, offering fine jewelry and watches since 1929; Papyrus, specializing in high-quality greeting cards, paper goods and gifts; and Select Comfort, inventors of the Sleep Number bed that uses air chamber technology.
Additional retailers joining the existing shopping center in September are: A|X Armani Exchange, an incubator for designer Giorgio Armani's edgy separates for men and women inspired by street-chic culture; Clarks, famous for its best-selling, comfort-perfect shoes, ranging from clogs and sandals to rugged performance and sophisticated career styles; and Tapper's Diamonds and Fine Jewelry, a luxury jeweler, offering a deep selection of diamonds, engagement rings, wedding bands and the top designer names in fine jewelry and timepieces PUMA(R) makes an earlier debut in the summer. The athletic brand fuses the influences of sport, fashion and lifestyle and offers the unexpected in sportlifestyle footwear, apparel and accessories for men and women.

Besides the new wing, located on the southeast corner of the shopping center, Macy's is expanding by 60,000 square feet. The construction began in early 2006 and the combined projects expand the mall from 1.2 to 1.5 million square feet.
