Syngenta Names Erik Fyrwald CEO Effective June 1 - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Swiss crop chemicals firm Syngenta AG (SYT) announced Wednesday the appointment of Erik Fyrwald as Chief Executive Officer effective June 1. He succeeds John Ramsay who has been ad interim CEO since November 2015.

Fyrwald is currently the President and CEO of the U.S. chemistry distribution company Univar Inc. Fyrwald spent 27 years at DuPont where he held various positions.

Fyrwald serves on the boards of Eli Lilly and Company and the Society of Chemical Industry.
