Superior Energy Services Q3 Profit Rises - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Superior Energy Services, Inc. (SPN) said third-quarter net income increased to $79.86 million from last year's $69.84 million.
Earnings per share improved to $0.51 from $0.43. Earnings per share from continuing operations grew to $0.55 from $0.42.
On average, 24 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.54 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenue increased to $1.209 billion from $1.096 billion last year. Analysts expected revenues of $1.18 billion.
David Dunlap, President and CEO, said, "We had another great quarter of performance at Superior Energy Services. Our U.S. land revenue continues to grow as we experienced higher demand across most of our product lines, with hydraulic fracturing leading the way. We expect the fracturing business to have more expansion opportunities in the U.S. land market as we continue to activate idle equipment in the coming quarters.
