Sunoco Logistics Q2 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Sunoco Logistics Partners L.P. (SXL) reported net income for the second quarter of $276 million or $0.83 per unit, compared to $156 million or $0.53 per unit for the year-ago quarter.

The latest quarter results include a $100 million inventory adjustment resulting from the increase in commodity prices.

Sales and other operating revenue for the second quarter fell to $3.20 billion from $4.82 billion a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.40 per unit on revenue of $3.78 billion for the second quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
