Sun National Bank Announces New Branch Managers

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J., March 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Sun National Bank ("the Bank"), the primary subsidiary of Sun Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNBC), is pleased to announce the hiring of managers for community bank branch locations in Monmouth, Burlington and Atlantic Counties:

  • Kristen A. Rimek has been hired as Vice President and Branch Manager of the Bank's Colts Neck and Wall Township community banking centers in Monmouth County.  In this role, she will oversee branch customer service, operations and business development activities at the Colts Neck and Wall Township locations.  Ms. Rimek's previous banking experience includes 20 years of progressive branch management roles at Santander Bank and Sovereign Bank.  Ms. Rimek is an active member of the business community, having been involved in a number of local community organizations including the Colts Neck Business Association and Jersey Shore Chamber of Commerce, as well as serving as a Board member at the Strand Theater.
  • Scott C. Smith has been hired as Vice President and Branch Manager of the Bank's Medford community banking center in Burlington County.  In this role, he will oversee branch customer service, operations and business development activities at the Medford location.  Mr. Smith's previous banking experience includes 10 years of progressive leadership roles at BB&T Bank and Susquehanna Bank, and previously served as a market leader and small business development officer. Mr. Smith is an active member of the business community, having been involved in a number of local community organizations including the Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce, Southern New Jersey Ronald McDonald House, and Camden County Chamber of Commerce.
  • Trish Miller has been hired as Vice President and Branch Manager of the Bank's Atlantic City South and Ventnor community banking centers in Atlantic County.  In this role, she will oversee branch customer service, operations and business development activities at the Atlantic City South and Ventnor locations.  Ms. Miller's previous banking experience includes 15 years of progressive branch leadership roles at BB&T Bank and Susquehanna Bank.  Ms. Miller is an active member of the business community, having been involved in a number of local community organizations, including as a member of the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce, Trustee of the Cathy Miller Cancer Fund, founding member of the Mainland Regional Community Partnership Organization and Past President of the Northfield Linwood Kiwanis Organization.
