Sucampo Pharma And Takeda Pharma Reach Global Licensing Agreement For Amitiza

(RTTNews) - R-Tech Ueno, Ltd. stated that on October 17, 2014, Sucampo Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SCMP) and Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. (TKPYY.PK, TKPHF.PK) reached a global license, development, commercialization and supply agreement for Amitiza or lubiprostone.

Under this agreement, Takeda expanded its exclusive rights beyond the United States and Canada to further develop and commercialize AMITIZA in all global markets, except Japan and the People's Republic of China.

R-Tech Ueno has a global exclusive manufacturing and supply right to Amitiza.
