Stock Alert: Superior Industries Climbs 18% On Q1 Results

(RTTNews) - Shares of aluminum wheel manufacturer Superior Industries International Inc. (SUP) are up 18 percent on Wednesday's trading as the company turned to profit in the first quarter.

In the first-quarter, the company reported net income of $13.1 million or $0.18 per share, compared to net loss of $190.1 million or $7.84 per share in the same period last year.

Quarterly sales rose to $358.2 million from $301.1 million in the year-ago period.

The stock is currently trading at $6.06, up $0.93 or 18 percent on the NYSE.

SUP has traded between $1.10 and $7.39 in the past 52 weeks.
