On Dec. 12, Australia's competition regulator raised concerns over Asahi Group Holdings Ltd's proposed $11 billion acquisition of Carlton & United Breweries from Anheuser-Busch InBev. The ACCC said that it has preliminary concerns that Asahi's proposed acquisition of Carlton & United Breweries may reduce competition in the market for cider, as well as in the beer market.

On Nov. 11, Anheuser-Busch InBev SA announced its plans to buy the remaining Craft Brew Alliance's shares it does not already own for $16.50 per share in cash. Anheuser-Busch previously held 31.2% stake in the Craft Brew Alliance.
