Stock Alert: Acco Brands Up 5%

(RTTNews) - Shares of Acco Brands Corp. (ACCO) are trading 4% up on Wednesday as the office products maker reported its first-quarter results. During the three-month period, the company posted net loss of $20.4 million or $0.21 per share, compared to net income of $8 million or $0.08 per share in the same period last year. The adjusted net income was $10 million or $0.10 per share, compared with adjusted net income of $13.2 million or $0.14 per share in the year-ago quarter.

The company's net sales rose 7 percent to $410.5 million from $384.1 million in the previous-year period.

The stock was trading at $9.00, up $0.42 or 5% on the NYSE.
