Stibo Systems Announces Strategic Partnership with ATG
Stibo Systems, a leading master data management software company, today announced that it has formed a strategic partnership with ATG, (Art Technology Group, Inc., NASDAQ: ARTG), the premier provider of e-commerce solutions. The partnership is designed to help joint Stibo and ATG customers to better solve their information supply chain challenges, leading to reduced product confusion, improved up-sell and cross-sell conversions, a more positive ecommerce experience for customers and a lower total cost of ownership.
ATG sponsored the 2009 Stibo User Conference in the UK on September 16 & 17 where joint client Screwfix addressed the gathering with guidance on how the changing multi-channel customer is calling for the capability for businesses to manage information across multiple channels, markets, and languages; facilitating the reuse of core information and supporting enrichment for specific needs. ATG and Stibo Systems offer the most innovative and powerful platform for multi-channel marketers and retailers to build company brands and increase customer mind share through efficient cross-channel communications.
Through its master data management (MDM) and product information management (PIM) solutions, Stibo Systems enables companies to improve business performance and establish competitive differentiation by more efficiently managing, gathering, publishing and sharing master data across their information supply chain. The ATG Commerce Suite helps businesses uses this master data to power highly personalized, efficient and effective ecommerce sites. Although Stibo and ATG have worked together in the past with joint customers such as Figleaves.com, Thomas Cook, Newark and Screwfix.com, the Stibo-ATG strategic partnership will now help companies:
- Enhance the relevancy of automated recommendations with richer product information
- Manage product content centrally and create multichannel promotions with ease
- Provide customer service departments with more accurate promotional information to improve cross-sell and up-sell conversions, increasing customer loyalty and market share.
- Deliver more targeted messages and create promotional versions to reach customers with the right offer at the right time.
- Reduce printing time and costs through efficient and flexible manufacturing processes for large-volume communications.
"e-Commerce is clearly evolving as the dominant sales channel for most businesses, and the web is becoming the best venue for customer self-service before and after the sale,” said Mikael Lyngsø, CEO of Stibo Systems. "Yet customers still use more than one channel to research products and transact business, which means that companies must have a single source of accurate information powering all of these channels — especially e-commerce. The partnership between Stibo and ATG makes it possible for our customers to enjoy a consistent experience wherever and whenever they buy, see or learn about a product or service.”
"Leveraging e-commerce to improve brand awareness and customer loyalty has become increasingly important for businesses today, especially in the current economic environment,” said Drew Reynolds, senior vice president of business development at ATG. "Both Stibo and ATG understand the urgency with which organizations need to address their product-information challenges, and have come together to help address this growing market need in a very practical way.”
