Stealthgas Q3 Profit Declines, Revenues Up 5% - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Stealthgas Inc. (GASS), a ship-owning company primarily serving the liquefied petroleum gas or LPG sector of the international shipping industry, said that net income for the third quarter decreased to $1.6 million or $0.04 per share, from $4.1 million or $0.13 per share last year.

Adjusted net income was $1.5 million or $0.04 per share compared to $3.7 million or $0.12 per share in the prior year. On average, nine analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.14 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenues for the latest third quarter were $31.23 million, up 5.%, from last year's $29.74 million, primarily due to the higher number of vessels in the 2014 period, while eight analysts expected revenues of $32.98 million for the quarter.
