St. Jude Medical Gets CE Mark For Infinity Deep Brain Stimulation System

(RTTNews) - Global medical device manufacturer St. Jude Medical, Inc. (STJ) Tuesday announced CE Mark approval for its Infinity Deep Brain Stimulation or DBS System and directional DBS lead. The device controlled by Bluetooth wireless technology will be helpful for patients with movement disorders, especially in patients with Parkinson's disease, dystonia and tremor, due to neurological breakdown.

St. Jude Medical Infinity DBS system is a surgically-implanted neurostimulator that generates the electrical pulses to specific targets in the brain to stimulate the structures involved in motor control. It is upgradeable and will be available in two sizes.
