Splunk Buys Caspida For About $190 Mln.
(RTTNews) - Data-analysis software maker Splunk Inc (SPLK) on Thursday said it has acquired Caspida Inc, an innovator in machine learning and behavioral analytics.
As per the terms of the deal, Splunk acquired all of the outstanding stock of Caspida for about $190 million, including about $127 million in cash and $63 million in restricted Splunk securities.

With the deal, Splunk said its customers now have out-of-the-box user behavioral analytics to help detect, respond to and mitigate threats.
Splunk expects the deal to contribute to top line revenues next year.
The company also reaffirmed its full fiscal year 2016 guidance, expecting revenues of $610 million to $614 million. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters currently expect revenues of $616 million.
