Sphere ETFs Announces December 2017 Distributions

TORONTO, Dec. 19, 2017 /CNW/ - Sphere Investment Management Inc. announces the following distributions per unit for December 2017, including special cash and non-cash distributions for the 2017 tax year-end, to all unitholders of record on December 29, 2017. 

It is expected that all cash distributions and special cash distributions, as applicable, will be paid to unitholders on or about January 12, 2018.

The annual non-cash distributions (column 3 in the table above) will not be paid in cash, but will be reinvested and the resulting units immediately consolidated so that the number of units held by each investors will not change.  These special distributions generally consist of capital gains only. It is expected that the annual non-cash distribution will be effective on or about January 12, 2018.

In addition, per the December 11, 2017 unitholder approval for the merger of Sphere FTSE Asia Sustainable Yield Index ETF (SHA) and Sphere FTSE US Sustainable Yield Index ETF's (SHU) into Sphere FTSE Canada Sustainable Yield Index ETF (SHC), there will be separate and additional special distributions paid to unitholders of SHA and SHU on or about January 12, 2018. Final amounts for these additional special distributions will be announced prior to the effective date of the merger in early January, 2018.
