GameAnax has already proven their prowess in the gaming industry every since the success of Crazy Monster Truck – Escape. The game witnessed an overwhelming response of over 5 million downloads across various gaming platforms within a short period of time. Started in the 2010, the studio has been rolling out power packed games that set the adrenaline rushing. Their new venture Speed Rush is an equally promising game; superbike lover's are sure to find it extremely addictive and highly engaging.
Speed Rush was designed to entertain and engage those who have a flair for racing; delivering a gameplay that's as close to the real thing as possible. It has cleverly leveraged all the hardware features to a smartphone or gaming console to simulate the race with that of an actual racing experience. "We have integrated every aspect of biking on the circuit to give players the real thrill of zooming down the tracks without any inhibitions," said Jigar Panchal, Head Mobile Games, GameAnax. "To add to the real-like experience of racing, we have simulated the tracks to resemble 12 famous racing circuits around the world," he added.
The game revolves around giving players a fun racing experience and some quality time on their 'customized' superbikes. That's right! Players can customize their bikes by adjusting its Handling, Breaking, Tires and Acceleration for a very personalized feel. To make the biking experience truly exclusive, the game has 12 phenomenally realistic tracks that simulate popular superbike racing circuits across the globe. To add to it, GameAnax has also included mirror tracks leaving players spoilt for choice. Besides amazing simulations and excellent sound effects, to make the gaming experience surreal it also features several exciting elements. Other than choosing the track, players can also set the track conditions, wherein the biker would experience a gameplay that features different weather conditions.
The developers certainly have an eye for details; they have also accounted for different cc bikes by building ones that include 125-1000cc engines. Contrary to regular racing games, Speed Rush comes with a twist – it offers 4 entirely different racing modes.
The Normal Race, where 8 -10 players compete with each other. The top 3 winners are awarded reward points and prize money. This mode is like any other racing game - straight and clear.
Time Trial is a racing mode that tests the biker's skill against the clock. The game would set the best time for a track, and the player is given 3 laps to race against time.
The Check Point race works on a slightly different note. The game tallies the best average time taken by the player between 2 checkpoints in the game. A game would have around 4-6 checkpoints along the track.
The Knock Out race is an enjoyable racing mode. It features 4-5 players, where for every lap; the last biker would be knocked out. This mode requires the player to stay ahead of at least one opponent for every lap.
Black Racers is a gaming event where only the pro bikers are invited to join. This requires the player to work his/ her way up here. The player is expected to gain a certain experience and skill before being given an exclusive ticket to participate in this event.
The Free Run is where the player gets to pick a bike and zoom through the tracks without the pressure of an on-going game. It helps racers learn the track and get to know their machine.
Speed Rush is a different kind of racing game that aims at striking a balance between hard-core racing and giving superbike enthusiasts an opportunity to experience the thrill of owning and riding one. Setting it apart from other games are the different racing modes, where players can test their skills through different challenging situations. From the regular races to the trying ones – racing against time, outdoing other players and an exciting knockout race, it's the only game that focuses on a riding experience rather than just winning. It also allows players to hone their skills and improve upon their game. The storyboard has been made to entice and enthrall racing-gamers to ecstasy.
Apart from the KickStarter campaign SpeedRush has also enrolled for the #FreeTheGames Fund, created by OUYA. The fund is an initiative to encourage developers to build creative and engaging games on the OUYA platform. Incidentally, OUYA itself was once a project that was launched on Kickstarter. Today, it's one of the most promising gaming micro-consoles. Powered by its own version of Android Operating System, it is an open source framework that allows developers to modify and work upon. Adding to the exclusivity of the platform SpeedRush would be available only on the OUYA console for the first six months before it is launched on other platforms.
With more than 100 backers, the game has already received a 21% backing, but with 42 days to go the GameAnax hopes to nail their target soon.
