Sonic Corp Announces 23% Gain In Q1 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Sonic Corp (SONC) reported a profit for its first quarter that increased from last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $12.46 million, or $0.24 per share. This was higher than $10.09 million, or $0.18 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.23 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 4.2% to $145.80 million. This was up from $139.86 million last year.
