Sohu.com Loss Narrows In Q1 - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - China's Sohu.com Inc. (SOHU), an online media, search, gaming, community and mobile service group, Monday reported that its GAAP net loss attributable to Company for the first quarter narrowed to $21 million or $0.53 a share, from last year's $31 million or $0.81 a share.

While GAAP operating profit rose to $15 million from $3 million last year, Non-GAAP operating profit stood at $15 million.

Total revenues for the first quarter slid 10 percent to $408 million. Total online advertising revenues, comprising revenues from the brand advertising and search and search-related businesses, rose 9 percent to $259 million.

Looking ahead to the second quarter, Sohu said it estimates GAAP loss per share to be between $1.45 and $1.70, and total revenues between $420 million and $450 million.
