SK Telecom Q3 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - SK Telecom Co. Ltd. (SKM) said third-quarter consolidated net income advanced to 531.0 billion Korean won from 502.2 billion won in the previous year due to the equity gains from SK Hynix.

Basic earnings per share totaled 7,493 won, compared to 7,086 won last year.

Operating revenue improved nearly 6 percent to 4.367 trillion won from 4.125 trillion won in the prior year. The increase was due to the growth of the LTE service and new businesses, the acquisition of SK Networks? retail business by PS&Marketing, and the earnings growth of subsidiary companies.

Billing Average Revenue Per User or ARPU rose 4.3 percent, led by the growth of the LTE service.
