Silver Dollar City's Outlaw Run Wins 'Best New Ride' of 2013 In Worldwide 'Golden Ticket' Awards

BRANSON, Mo., Sept. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Following an international poll of hundreds of theme park insiders and ride enthusiasts, Silver Dollar City's new wood coaster Outlaw Run is bringing home the highly prestigious Golden Ticket Award for 'Best New Ride' in the theme park industry worldwide. Also, for the first time ever, the park was voted in the top ten Best Parks in the world. The Golden Ticket for Best New Ride was presented to the Branson, Missouri theme park by the awards host Amusement Today magazine Saturday night, September 7, at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, California, with hundreds of representatives of theme parks around the globe in attendance, including those from Silver Dollar City.

The ground-breaking wood coaster Outlaw Run also ranked high among all wood coasters worldwide, voted #7 on the list of the world's Top 50 Wood Coasters, which is another first for Silver Dollar City.
