Shaw Names Dave Barry as President of Shaw Stone & Webster Nuclear Services; Industry Veteran With Over Thirty Years Experience Joins Shaw Leadership Team

The Shaw Group Inc. (NYSE:SGR) today announced that ithas hired Dave Barry as President of its Shaw Stone & Webster NuclearServices division. Shaw Stone & Webster Nuclear Services provides aseamless offering of premier engineering, maintenance, construction,environmental and nuclear remediation services to commercial,government and international clients. As President of Shaw Stone &Webster Nuclear Services, Mr. Barry will oversee all aspects of thedivision's business operations and will direct Shaw's strategicmarketing and business development efforts, leveraging the company'srecognized nuclear expertise and leading market position to targetemerging opportunities in the global nuclear marketplace. Mr. Barrywill report to Tim Barfield, President and Chief Operating Officer ofShaw. D. Ron McCall will continue to lead the company's nuclearmaintenance activities and will continue to report to Mr. Barfield.

Mr. Barry brings over thirty years of experience in the globalnuclear power industry to Shaw, with significant expertise in managingnuclear new-build projects. Mr. Barry joins Shaw after six years withBechtel, where he held several leadership positions in operations andbusiness development. Most recently, Mr. Barry served as operationsmanager overseeing the execution of Bechtel's fossil power projects.His work also included managing a multibillion government contractinvolving multiple infrastructure projects successfully in a war zone.Previously, Mr. Barry worked for Stone & Webster for over twenty-fiveyears and held various positions of increasing responsibility. Duringhis career, he has worked in every discipline and aspect of theindustry including project and construction management, businessdevelopment, process analysis and enhancements, financial oversight,and supply chain management. Mr. Barry also has considerableexperience managing multinational labor working in the overseasmarkets, particularly in the Middle East.

Mr. Barry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanicalengineering from the University of Massachusetts. Mr. Barry is also an active memberof the Project Management Institute and American Society of MechanicalEngineers.
