San Antonio Community Hospital Improves Margins with MedAssets’ Enterprise Spend Management Solutions

San Antonio Hospital, located in Upland, Calif., has chosen MedAssets (NASDAQ: MDAS) as its strategic spend management partner to lower supply costs, improve utilization efficiencies and increase standardization by engaging physicians in the cost improvement process to improve clinical and operating effectiveness at the 279-bed hospital. In less than a year of working with MedAssets, the hospital has experienced $2.7 million in savings.

Under a long-term agreement, MedAssets is providing integrated spend management solutions to San Antonio Community Hospital, including group purchasing (GPO) services to leverage a comprehensive contract portfolio of quality, cost-effective commodity medical products and supplies.
