SAIC Awarded $38 Million Task Order By Defense Information Systems Agency
MCLEAN, Va., July 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) announced it was awarded a task order by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to provide Global Command and Control Systems - Joint (GCCS-J) production, testing and technical services in support of U.S. Combatant Commands. The single-award cost-plus fixed-fee contract has a one-year base period of performance, three one-year options, one six-month option, and a total contract value of approximately $38 million, if all options are exercised. Work will be performed at Fort George G. Meade in Jessup, Md. The task order was awarded under the ENCORE II contracting vehicle.
ENCORE II is a multiple-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract that provides information technology support to military agencies, the Department of Defense, and other Federal agencies. GCCS-J service offers vital connectivity to systems used to plan, execute and manage military operations for both joint and multinational operations. Under the contract, SAIC will provide technical services including security engineering, functional and performance testing of GCCS-J releases and components, and configuration management of production releases.
