S&P Dow Jones Indices Announces Changes to the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

A Deletion from the S&P/TSX Composite Index and S&P/TSX Canadian Dividend Aristocrats Index

TORONTO, Oct. 16, 2018 /CNW/ - S&P Dow Jones Indices Canadian Index Services will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices:  

The shareholders of Enercare Inc. (TSX:ECI) have agreed to the terms of a Plan of Arrangement resulting in acquisition by Brookfield Infrastructure. Each share of Enercare will receive $CDN29.00 for consideration. Enercare shares will be removed from all S&P/TSX indices where the stock is a constituent prior to the open of trading on Thursday, October 18, 2018.
