Rovi Corp. Bottom Line Retreats 38% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Rovi Corp. (ROVI) revealed earnings for third quarter that retreated compared to the same period last year.

The company said its profit fell to $23.93 million, or $0.29 per share. This was down from $38.64 million, or $0.42 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.36 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 10.7% to $114.88 million. This was down from $128.58 million last year.
