Rogers Communications Q3 Profit Drops - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Rogers Communications Inc. (RCI.TO, RCI), a diversified Canadian communications and media company, posted lower net income of C$332 million, or C$0.64 per share for the third quarter, versus last year's C$464 million, or C$0.90 per share. On an adjusted basis, net income for the recent quarter totaled C$405 million, or C$0.78 per share.

Operating revenue for the period reached C$3.25 billion, up 1%, compared with the prior-year figure of C$3.22 billion. Consolidated revenue increased 1% this quarter, reflecting revenue growth of 2% year over year in Wireless and 3% in Business Solutions, while revenue in Media was steady, and was partially offset by a decline of 1% in Cable.
