Rogers Communications Q3 Adj. Profit Beats View, But Revenues Miss - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Canadian communications and media company Rogers Communications, Inc. (RCI-B.TO, RCI) reported net income for the third quarter of C$464 million or C$0.90 per share, compared to C$466 million or C$0.90 per share in the same quarter last year.

On an adjusted basis, net income for the quarter was C$501 million or C$0.97 per share, compared with C$495 million or C$0.96 per share in the year-ago period. On average, fourteen analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings per share of C$0.96 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Operating revenues for the quarter rose 2 percent to C$3.22 billion from C$3.18 billion in the prior-year quarter. The Street estimated the company to report revenues of C$3.26 billion for the quarter.
