Rockwell Collins Profit Rises 20% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Rockwell Collins (COL) announced earnings for its third quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $214 million, or $1.63 per share. This was higher than $178 million, or $1.33 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.59 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 3.1% to $1.33 billion. This was up from $1.29 billion last year.
