Regions Financial Corp. Reveals 26% Increase In Q3 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Regions Financial Corp. (RF) reported earnings for its third quarter that climbed from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $304 million, or $0.24 per share. This was higher than $242 million, or $0.18 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.21 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 4.5% to $1.40 billion. This was up from $1.34 billion last year.
