Red Hat Summit and JBoss World Slated for June 2012
Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), the world's leading provider of open source solutions, today announced it will host the eighth annual Red Hat Summit and JBoss World in Boston, June 26-29, 2012. Each year Red Hat brings together many of the world’s top open source and technology thought leaders to discuss solutions to global business and technology challenges across platform, middleware, virtualization and cloud computing. The three-day event features keynote addresses, sessions, interactive discussions, product demonstrations and hands-on labs centered on how to deliver optimal results utilizing open source products and technologies.
"The 2011 Red Hat Summit and JBoss World just concluded after an action-packed week that drew record attendance levels,” said Paul Cormier, executive vice president and president, Products and Technologies, Red Hat. "The Red Hat Summit continues to grow each year at an impressive rate. This is a testament to the continued increased use of open source software coupled with Red Hat’s ability to deliver value to its customers, helping them plan and implement IT architectures of the future.”
Next year will mark the fourth time that the Red Hat Summit and JBoss World have been held in Boston. With Red Hat’s global engineering headquarters based just outside of the city in Westford, Mass, Boston has been an ideal setting to host the event. It combines a great history of innovation, a rich academic environment with several colleges and universities, and a robust business and economic climate.
The 2012 Red Hat Summit will be held at the Hynes Convention Center. A call for papers will open later this year with registration opening in early 2012.
