Quiksilver Q3 Results Miss Estimates

(RTTNews) - Quiksilver, Inc. (ZQK) reported a net loss from continuing operations for the third quarter of $220 million, or $1.29 per share, compared to income from continuing operations of $0.2 million or $0.00 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted loss from continuing operations for the third quarter was $35 million or $0.20 per share, compared to adjusted income from continuing operations of $13 million or $0.07 per share in the prior year quarter.

Revenue for the third quarter fell to $395.66 million from $488.33 million a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.03 per share on revenue of $440.64 million for the third quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
